Trippa charges guests a service fee for each booking made on our platform. This fee helps cover the costs of running our business, including customer support, marketing, and platform maintenance.

  • Fee Amount: The guest service fee ranges between 5% and 15% of the booking subtotal (the nightly rate plus cleaning fee, if applicable, but excluding Trippa fees and taxes). The exact percentage depends on various factors such as the booking subtotal, length of stay, and location.

1.2. Host Service Fee

Trippa charges hosts a service fee for each booking received through our platform. This fee helps cover the costs of processing payments, customer support, and maintaining the Trippa platform.

  • Fee Amount: The host service fee is generally 4% of the booking subtotal. For hosts with a strict cancellation policy, the service fee may be higher.

2. Payment Processing Fees

Trippa may charge a separate payment processing fee to cover the costs of handling transactions. This fee varies depending on the payment method and the currency used.

  • Fee Amount: Payment processing fees typically range from 2% of the total transaction amount.

3. Additional Fees

In certain circumstances, additional fees may apply, such as:

  • Cleaning Fees: Hosts may charge a cleaning fee to cover the costs of preparing their property for guests.
  • Extra Guest Fees: Hosts may charge extra fees for additional guests beyond a certain number.
  • Security Deposits: Hosts may require a refundable security deposit to cover potential damages.

4. Fee Calculation and Payment

4.1. Fee Calculation

Service fees are calculated based on the booking subtotal and any applicable additional fees. The total amount, including all fees, will be displayed to guests before confirming a booking.

4.2. Payment Collection

Service fees are automatically deducted from the guest’s payment and host’s payout at the time of booking confirmation. Guests will see the total price, including service fees, at checkout, while hosts will see the service fee deduction in their payout summary.

5. Refunds and Cancellations

5.1. Guest Cancellations

If a guest cancels a booking, the refund amount will be determined by the host’s cancellation policy. Trippa service fees are generally non-refundable, but exceptions may apply in certain circumstances, such as extenuating circumstances or errors on our part.

5.2. Host Cancellations

If a host cancels a booking, Trippa will refund the guest the total amount paid, including service fees. Hosts may be subject to penalties for cancellations as outlined in our Host Cancellation Policy.

Trippa reserves the right to modify the service fees at any time. We will provide users with advance notice of any changes to the fee structure. Continued use of the platform after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new fees.
