Thank you for choosing Trippa for your rental needs. We strive to provide excellent service and ensure your satisfaction. This Booking Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which refunds will be processed in case of cancellations or changes to your rental booking.

Types of cancellation and Refund Eligibility:

  1. Free Cancellation Policy:
    Enjoy peace of mind with a free cancellation policy. If your plans change, simply cancel your rental reservation from the property for free within 24 hours before your scheduled arrival date. This flexible policy allows you to book with confidence, knowing that you can adjust your plans without any penalty.
  2. Partial Refund Cancellation Policy: Partial refund cancellation policy offers flexibility for guests while ensuring fairness for hosts. Guests can receive a refund of 100% of the total booking cost if the rental reservation on the property is canceled 90 days before the check-in date. If canceled within 60 days before check-in, guests will receive an 80% refund. However, cancellations made within 30 days of the check-in date are not eligible for a refund. This policy encourages early cancellations while providing some reimbursement for changes made closer to the check-in date.
  3. Non-Refundable Reservation Policy: Note that this rental reservation on the property is non-refundable. Once booked, it cannot be canceled or modified. If you choose to cancel or do not show up, you will be charged the full amount of the reservation. Thank you for your understanding. This policy ensures certainty for hosts and helps them manage their inventory effectively by avoiding last-minute cancellations.
  4. Nightly Penalty Cancellation Policy: Nightly penalty cancellation policy is designed to manage room inventory effectively and ensure the best service for guests. If a guest cancels less than 48 hours before their arrival date or fails to check in on the arrival date at the property, they will be charged the cost of 1 night as a penalty. This policy encourages guests to communicate any changes in their plans in a timely manner and helps maintain fairness for hosts.

Refund Processing Fee:
2.1. In the event of a cancellation or change to the booking, a payment processing fee of 2% will be deducted from the eligible refund amount as a service fee for the payment as stated in the service fee policy. This fee covers administrative and transaction costs associated with processing the refund.
2.2. The refund processing fee will be waived if the cancellation is due to an error or fault on the part of Trippa.

Change of Dates/Times:
3.1. If you need to change the rental dates or times, please notify us at least 72 hours in advance of the scheduled rental start date and time.
3.2. Changes are subject to availability and may incur additional charges based on the new rental dates and times.

Force Majeure Events:
4.1. In the case of unexpected events beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, strikes, government regulations, etc.) that result in the need to cancel your rental booking, we will do our best to offer you alternative solutions or a full refund.
4.2. However, we cannot be held liable for any losses, damages, or additional expenses incurred due to force majeure events.

Refund Process:
5.1. To initiate a refund request, please contact our customer support team at support@trippamw.com
5.2. Provide the necessary booking details, including the booking reference number and reason for cancellation.
5.3. Refunds will be processed using the original payment method and may take 5-10 working days to appear in your account, depending on your payment provider’s policies.

Non-Refundable Items and Services:
6.1. Certain items and services, such as service fees, cleaning fees, or optional extras, may be non-refundable even if the rental booking is canceled.

Disputes:
7.1. If you encounter any issues with the refund process or disagree with the refund amount, please reach out to our customer support team to discuss the matter further.
7.2. Any disputes regarding refunds will be handled in accordance with the laws of Malawi.

Modifications to the Refund Policy:
8.1. Trippa reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time without prior notice.
8.2. The updated policy will apply to all rental bookings made after the effective date of the modifications.
